Prices for 2-bedroom condos in both the Castro and San Francisco hit an all-time high in Q2 of 2007. While prices for condos in the Castro were down slightly in Q3-07, prices market-wide have been very steady for all of 2007.

With the cost for new construction running in the area of $250/sf, there is a poweful incentive for people to expand their homes if possible.
